Two extreme cases of drink-driving have ended in a costly fashion for two Victorian motorists caught by police at Myrtleford in the state's north east.

A 44-year-old Myrtleford man was more than four times over the legal limit when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was pulled over by police.
Police said the man recorded a positive reading of 0.208, and had his driver's licence suspended.
Another driver, a 45-year-old man from Hawthorn, recorded a breath alcohol reading of 0.187 after he was intercepted by Wangaratta Highway Patrol officers on Christmas Eve.
Police said the Hawthorn man was intercepted after numerous calls were made to Triple Zero (000) warning of erratic driving. "The car was reportedly crossing double-lines into oncoming traffic," a police statement said.
The second driver also had his driving licence suspended immediately. Both men now have an appointment at the Myrtleford Magistrates Court at a later date.
Sergeant Michael Connors blasted the drink drivers, saying he was extremely disappointed with the two incidents.
"On both of these occasions the drivers put themselves and other road users at risk," Sergeant Connors said.
"This is a time of year for celebration and our message is simple – please enjoy yourself, but if you plan on drinking, don't drive. We simply won't tolerate dangerous and irresponsible driving on our roads," he said.
The two men were caught as a part of Operation Roadwise, a state-wide policing operation running from December 16 to January 8. Police have said the operation will concentrate on reducing road trauma, with police focussing on the main causes of fatalities and serious injuries.
The road toll for 2016 is at 282, compared to 247 for the same period last year.
