Services on the Ballarat line reached their destination ‘on time’ or within six minutes of scheduling 91.2 per cent of the time – up from November’s 89.1 per cent figure but down from October’s 93.3 per cent return.
However, capacity was well down over the holiday period with no peak services from Ballarat to Melbourne capping out at 100 per cent of all seats taken.
Similarly, only two Melbourne to Ballarat services between 4pm and 6pm recorded an average of 100 per cent seats taken.
Heat restrictions often impact punctuality over summer.
