The Red Caps sent the Pointies into bat and restricted them to 8-167 off their 50 overs – with Sam Jackson the pick of the bowlers taking 3-19 off his 10 overs.
The Red Caps were 3-56 and the game looked to be in the balance, but a brilliant fourth-wicket partnership of 115 between Heath Pyke (65 runs) and Liam Brady (43 runs) saw Wendouree come away with the points.
Mt Clear registered a much-needed win over Ballarat-Redan, reeling in the total of 184 with six wickets to spare.
Curtis Townrow proved the match-winner. He took 4-30 with the ball and backed it up with the bat to make an unbeaten 112, his partnership of 98 with Nathan Yates steadied the Mounties ship.

Darley passed the total with four wickets to spare, Matthew Cape top-scoring with an unbeaten knock of 42 as Darley posted its fifth win of the season and move to the top of the ladder.
