Six rinks of fours were contested, with each club winning three and Clunes winning 113 to 94. Clunes skippers Alan Carnegie and Bill Hudson both had wins by 17 and 19 to set up the outright victory.
Mid-week pennant
Clunes played Victoria Club in three close games. Clunes skippers Narelle Vorbach and Lois Hudson lost by margins of two and five respectively. Lee Dixon’s rink had a three-shot win, but the Victoria club won by four.
Weekend pennant
Division 3
Clunes played Beaufort. Clunes skippers Alan Carnegie and John Dellavedova lost by two and five respectively. Andrew Ingram’s rink had a seven-shot victory and at close of play Beaufort won by 11 shots.
Division 7
Clunes played The Avenue Club at Bacchus Marsh. Clunes skipper John Young played out a draw, John Amao’s rink won by five and Mark Byrne’s rink won by 11. However, The Avenue won by three.
