A water main burst at around 2pm impacting dozens of residents.
While some residents have no access to water other may be receiving water at a “low flow rate”, a Central Highlands Water spokesperson said.
The water supplier will provide bottled water to anyone in need during the outage.
“The burst may take up to 5 hours to resolve, so affected customers might not have a water supply until approximately 5-6pm this evening,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
“We advise that some parts of the region will still receive water at a low flow rate.”
Water taste and quality may be impacted as water is being drawn from an alternate source.
