Josh claimed a clean sweep success in his 11 Expert Boys class, while Wayne went undefeated in the 50+ Men’s Cruiser division.
The popular event included six race meetings, across tracks at Park Orchards, Lilydale, Knox, South Eastern and Eastfield Eagles BMX clubs. Racing was held between January 14 and January 22.
Josh’s older sister Alanna also competed in the series and finished sixth in the 14-16 Girls grade.
The family lives in Ballarat, but races for Knox.
The next assignment for Josh is round two of the national series in Shepparton, where he looks to build on his points tally in a bid to win a trip overseas to the prestigious USA BMX Grand Nationals.
Josh placed fifth in the opening round of the competition.
