Romein and King have been appointed co-captains of Ballarat City FC, which replaces Ballarat Devils in the National Premier League.
They will be supported by David King and Daniel Tinker, who with the joint captains make up the club’s senior player leadership group.
Head coach Danny Gnjidic announced the leadership group at the McDonald’s City FC’s launch at Morshead Park on Saturday night.
The club also unveiled its new strip for the first time.
Ballarat’s home uniform is navy blue and white, with the design based on the Eureka flag featuring the stars of the Southern Cross.Its away top will be predominantly white, with a blue and red stripe.
Ballarat City FC chairman John Livingston said the new club was working to build on a strong football foundation laid over the past 50 years in Ballarat.
The Navy Blues open the NPL2 West Vic season away to Brunswick City next Sunday.
