At least 300 Harry Potter fans will converge on the decorated library for the free event.
Ballarat library staff member Ross Cummings said it’s a multi-generational event and was a great success last year.
“Anyone from families with toddlers and young children, to teenagers, to 60-year-olds without children will attend,” Mr Cummings said.
He said the effort put into costumes last year was incredible and he is excited to see the participants at Thursday night’s event.
“I’ve been working in libraries for 20 years and last year’s event was the most fun I have ever had in a library,” Mr Cummings said.
Tickets are now sold out but the Harry Potter set up will be available to visit until Monday.
The activities kick of at 4pm this Thursday night and run until 6.30pm at the Ballarat Library on Doveton Street North.
