“Being a big guy, such as I am, Mount Buninyong doesn’t lend itself to heavy riders so I’ve got to lose a bit of that Christmas pudding,” he said.
Frawley has supported the fundraising event since its inception 10 years ago. His highlight has been meeting people from all walks of life along with the festivities.
“There are so many different rides now on the day so it just caters for everyone – family, kids, and elite cyclists who want to have a crack at the national course at Mount Buninyong,” he said.
Frawley also praised the work of the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute.
“Everyone has been touched by cancer in one way, shape or form,” he said. “Sport has been a great part of my life and if I can help out through my profile through raising awareness all the better.”
The Ballarat Cycle Classic road rides take place on Sunday, February 19. For more information visit reach4research.com.au.
