He had just produced something special and he knew it.
The rising Ballarat track star was dazzling as he swept past his rivals from the tight back mark of 10m on the second day at the Ballarat Gift carnival. Coming off a promising belated start to the season at the Victorian Country track and field titles, Procaccino made a promising start to the carnival with a Ballarat Gift heat win.
However, it was to be the runs in the 400m specialist’s pet event that captured the imagination.
Procaccino’s winning move came going into the home turn with a blistering burst of speed. Jack Anderson (26m) was second and Callum James (32m) third.
