Last year’s co-captain returned to Cairns during the off-season as a development player for NBL side the Taipans and is due to return to Ballarat sometime in the next five weeks.
Ballarat Miners head coach Eric Hayes said it is great to have an experienced player back at the club.
“The professionalism and hard work attitude he brings to the group will also be invaluable as he will help us develop a new culture for success on and off the court,” Hayes said.
The signing of Constable brings the Miners team to seven players. American imports Davon Usher and Marvin King-Davis will be arriving at the end of Febuary and will join Chris Smith and Cam McCullum at weekly training sessions. Constable, Craig Moller and Sam Short will all continue with their NBL commitments before arriving in Ballarat.
The Miners begin the new season against Geelong on March 31.
