A $560,000 revamp of Ballarat’s Western Oval is well underway with construction to be completed in the coming months.

To date, a new drainage system has been installed with work on irrigation system beginning earlier this month.

Other works scheduled include demolishing the old brick toilet block to make way for a new netball court.

The project was funded by the council, with $50,000 from the state government’s community sports infrastructure fund.
