John O'Shea-trained Florid has firmed into favourite, while Acqume, Mossman Gorge and Made For Glory are the next best backed.

Canberra trainer Keith Dryden has four runners on Sunday including Like A Shot in race two, with the gelding gunning for a third consecutive victory.

"This will test him but it's a nice race for him, I'm happy with his past two runs, but whether he's up to that grade I'm not sure," Dryden said.

"He's only won a maiden in class one so it's a fair step up here, but unless we try him we'll never know."

Dryden said a win on Sunday could open doors for the three-year-old.

"He might go to the guineas or the provincial champs but there's no long range plans for him at the moment, he'd have to win on Sunday, we'll map it all out after the race."

Dryden's client paid $150,000 for the gelding which the trainer said will only get better with experience.

"Paid a bit of money for him but he's just a nice horse and we've given him plenty of time to settle in and learn and he's still learning," he said.

"I think he's going to know he's been racing tomorrow [Sunday], I think he'll be around the money but he's no good thing.

"It should be a good meeting, a couple of nice races and hopefully a bloke can get one winner, if he gets a double then he's had a bloody good day."

ACT trainer Nick Olive only has one runner, Nat King Cu, in race five, while Matt Dale has four including Mossman Gorge.
