The orchestra, which claims it performs over 300 concerts around the world each year, will be presenting a program of music that includes Vivaldi, Paganini and Mozart.
The concert is part of the ensemble’s tour of Australia, which will see it perform in capital cities and town across the country.
The ensemble says its motto is “classical music the world over”, and provides programs that mix regular classical fare with lighter pieces such as tangoes, and modern compositions.
In this context, the ensemble says the selection of works and soloists takes on special significance. The composition of the ensemble provides every member of the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne with the opportunity to perform as a soloist.
Chamber Philharmonia Cologne will perform at 8pm in Central Uniting Church, corner of Dana and Lydiard streets. Tickets are available from Her Majesty’s Theatre or at the door.
