Delivr launched last Tuesday and delivers McDonalds, Hungry Jacks, KFC and Krispy Kreme donuts within the Ballarat area.

In the last week the company has made 45 deliveries, and turned over $1700, founder Alex Power said.

The most popular item has been the KFC Family Burger Box.

Mr Power said he planned to add Ballarat eateries.

Delivery is $9.99 plus an added dollar on the item price.

“You can’t get anything delivered in this town and I think there was an opportunity for that and I guess I’m right,” Mr Power said.

“The reason we did start with fast food is I wanted to appeal to a much broader audience and gain traction and I think we’ve done that.

“For a restaurant, it might be too costly for them to do it themselves – a local burger company in town, they may be very popular and they’re killing it during the day but logistically it doesn’t work for them to hire a driver to deliver food, when they sign up for us our entire business is connecting people to food.”
