Coach Danny Gnjidic said the focus on the track this week had been on the defensive aspects of the gameplan and becoming harder to score against. In their first game at home, City returned a 1-0 victory, but in their two away matches have conceded seven goals.
“They’re (Moreland) one of the clubs that is keen to push for promotion so we’re expecting a pretty difficult game,” Gnjidic said.
“Our slow starts is something we want to address and just to become a little bit more resilient defensively. Because we kept a clean sheet at home, but either side of that we’ve conceded three and four goals.”
Ballarat City will be without Alex Antonelli and Will Georgiou, who pulled up sore with soft tissue complaints after the Northcote clash.
