A crash between a car and a small truck in country Victoria has claimed the life of a man, pushing the Victorian road toll to 32 so far this year.

The crash occurred late on Friday afternoon at Newlyn North, near Daylesford, on the Midland Highway.
In a statement police said the male driver of the car died at the scene, while a passenger was transported to hospital in a serious condition.
Police said the male truck driver was not injured in the crash and stopped at the scene to offer assistance.
Police have urged anyone with information about the crash, or who witnessed the collision, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Shortly after the Midland Highway crash, a motorcyclist was critically injured when his motorcycle collided with a car at Cranbourne, in Melbourne's outer south east.
Paramedics were called to the scene and treated the motorcyclist for leg and pelvis injuries. He was flown to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
Thirty-two lives have now been lost on Victorian roads within the first two months of 2017. At the same time last year, the road toll was 46.
