Two people have been airlifted to Melbourne hospitals following a head-on collision on the Sunraysia Highway at Waubra today.

Sergeant Ross Humphries of Ballarat TMU said the accident happened 15 kilometres west of Waubra about 12.30pm.
The male driver of a white Holden station wagon and the female driver of a grey Hyundai hatchback, who were the only occupants of both vehicles, both had to be cut out of their vehicles by the Ballarat Rescue Unit.
The male, aged 46 from Melbourne, received serious leg injuries and the female, 54 from Ballarat, had critical injuries to her lower body.
The Sunraysia Highway was closed at Quoin Hill Road, Waubra, for a couple of hours while the drivers were freed from their vehicles and the road cleared.
Traffic was diverted around the scene by police.
