The Mounties resumed their pursuit of 190 runs for victory at 2-10 but were unable to put together any notable partnerships for the entire day - dismissed for just 92 runs.
Captain Matthew Ringin (4-34) and Liam Rigby (3-35) were the key bowlers for Naps-Sebas, while Justin Ringin bowled extremely well for 2-6 off nine overs.
The comprehensive 97-run win over the former ladder leader sees Mt Clear drop from first to fourth while Naps-Sebas move into second position.
Ringin described the pitch as “up and down” but once you got in batting was comfortable. He felt his group adapted to the tricky conditions better than Mt Clear.
Regardless of the pitch condition, the bowling display was near-flawless and it would seem the Naps-Sebas bowling attack has a stranglehold on My Clear’s batsmen, having knocked them over for 104 in their previous meeting.
While Wendouree moved to the top of the ladder after comfortably reeling in Golden Point's 171-run total.
The Red Caps passed the total with five wickets in hand as Matthew Begbie produced a brilliant knock of 87. Begbie and Heath Pyke (53 runs) piled on 106 runs for the third wicket to set up the victory.
Brown Hill had no trouble tracking down East Ballarat's 212 runs on Saturday.
What seemed a reasonable total proved light work for the Bulls batting line-up.
Brown Hill past the total with seven wickets in hand as Dan Davies and Joe Crichard put together an unbeaten partnership of 113 to guide the Bulls to its second win of the season. Davies top-scored with 73 while Crichard hit 61 runs as East Ballarat’s finals hopes were put to rest.
Ballarat-Redan used Saturday’s second innings against North Ballarat as batting practice. The Combine batted all day to reach a total of 7-244, a much better display than its 99 on day one.
Captain Jayden Hayes top-scored with 83 runs while Robert Hind made 61.
The Roosters’ batsmen were denied the chance to redeem their awful performance of 48 and will be hoping to end the season in better fashion next week.
