GOLDEN Plains mayor Des Phelan is challenging residents to drink more water. The shire is working with state health promotion foundation VicHealth to promote the H30 Challenge, encouraging people to take a 30-day pledge to drink water each time they would usually opt for a sugary drink. Cr Phelan said almost 20 per cent of Golden Plains residents consumed sugar drinks daily.
