Loreto continued on its all-conquering way in the 2000m event at the Rowing Victoria state championships at Nagambie on Saturday.
The Ballarat Head of the Lake winner comfortably accounted for Lauriston Girls' Grammar School by 3.19 seconds - confirming the Barry Halsall-coached crew of Grace Hoffmann, Ella Higgins, Laura Foley, Molly Grech and cox Madelyn Rothe is on course for a major tilt at a national title in Sydney later this month.
Damascus College continued its emergence as a rowing school with a third, following its second in the Head of Lake six days earlier.
Ballarat Grammar School was fifth and Ballarat High School seventh in a one-off row for medals.
With only seven crews in the event, the crews contested a warm-up race rather than heats.
Loreto, which is unbeaten this season, also led its rivals home in that event. The same crew also secured gold in the female under-21 coxed four.
Damascus took out the female under-19 coxed four.
Ballarat was not so prominent in the schoolboys' championship. Head of the Lake champion St Patrick's College failed to reach the final by finishing fifth and outside the top three required to advance.
Ballarat Grammar made the A final with a third in its heat, but could not manage better than sixth.
Scotch College dominated with first and second. Geelong College was third.
Ballarat High School won the schoolboys’ coxed four division two championship.
