A 41-strong squad has been selected to represent Greater Western Victoria Rebels in the inaugural TAC Cup youth girls' competition.

Ballarat-based football clubs have the biggest representation with 18 players.
The Wimmera region has 13 - including Ararat which plays in the BFL youth girls - with the balance from the Central Highlands, Hampden, Maryborough Castlemaine District and South West leagues.
GWV Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said the squad had been training once a week since early November, with girls
travelling from across Western Victoria to take part .
He said a highlight of the pre-season had been a highly successful talent search which fgeatured a come-and-try fitness and training session at Eureka Stadium.
Fifteen of more than 30 athletes from other sports who had not played football in the past have been selected in the squad.
Rebels open a five-round season against Western Jets at Learmonth on Saturday, March 18.
