POLICE have confirmed a man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Vectis earlier today.
Leading Senior Constable Paul Turner said the man was travelling west along Polkemmet Road when his car veered left before losing control and crossing to the opposite side of the road between 12am and 11.30am this morning.
He said the car then rolled into a dam.
The driver and only occupant of the vehicle, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and the investigation is ongoing.

WIMMERA police and paramedics have responded to a car roll over in Vectis.
Ambulance Victoria spokesperson John Mullen said a single vehicle had rolled near Polkemmet Road and the Western Highway, Vectis.
He said a male driver was involved and paramedics were called to the crash about 5pm.
The man’s condition has not been confirmed.
Mr Mullen said paramedics initially believed the car rolled into a nearby body of water.
