Twins and triplets out in force for Ballarat District Multiple Birth Association community day

Dozens of twins and triplets from across Ballarat got the chance to enjoy a miniature train ride on Sunday while their parents received a much-needed break.

The Ballarat District Multiple Birth Association’s event at the Invermay Miniature Railway Complex gave parents a chance to meet and discuss some of the challenges of looking after multiple youngsters at once.

BDMBA member Kelly Ditshot said having other families who had experienced raising two or more children of the same age provided great assistance to new parents. 

“We really focus on helping those younger families and building a good foundation for those first give years.” 

The event comes ahead of Multiple Birth Awareness Week, which  Monday.
