12.50pm: Firefighters have controlled a bushfire in Ross Creek after it broke out just after midday.
A CFA spokesperson said seven trucks along with aircraft had helped put out the fire, which covered five acres near Burgess and Lacys Roads.
The spokesperson could not yet provide details on the cause of the fire. He said no damage to property or injuries to people had been reported.
EARLIER:
12.20pm: Firefighting aircraft is en-route to help battle a bushfire in Ross Creek.
The Vic Emergency website reports there are up to nine vehicles responding to the blaze close to Kirks Road.
The fire is not yet under control.
The fire is believed to be at least five acres and headed in a south westerly direction.
