More than 11 CFA crews were call to the Ballan-Daylesford Road fire at 11.18pm. They arrived to find the occupants safe and evacuated – but the property was well alight.
CFA fire services controller Glenn Thompson said crews took more than hour to control the fire which destroyed the property.
The fire was deemed under control just before 1am. He said the number of tankers on site suggested water access had been an issue.
Crews from Spargo Creek, Ballan, Bacchus Marsh, Musk, Leonard’s Hill, Wallan and Daylesford were among those that attended the fire.
Fire investigators are yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
No one was injured during the fire.
More to come.
