A star-studded lineup of local and internationally renowned artists, including popular tribute artist Joe Pisastrino, will be appearing at the special fundraising event this Good Friday.
Pisastrino will be joined by the likes of singer Thomas Christie and the Ballarat Highland Dancers.
“We (also) have country singer Kim Ritchie coming from Bendigo, and popular country music festival bush poet Colin Driscoll adding a bit of humour to the day as well,” organiser Ammie Moneghetti said.
Funds raised will be donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
This is the second year Ms Moneghetti has organised the charity music festival, with last year’s event raising more than $7500 when Australia’s Got Talent ‘The Old Fella’ came to town.
Ms Moneghetti said support from almost 100 local businesses meant this year a number of auctions and raffles will also be available on the day.
She said a day-long barbeque and food stalls helped make the day as family-friendly as possible.
"This event is providing a terrific platform for all of our entertainers to be showcased, and offers a great day of family entertainment,” she said.
“We see the event as a chance for the Ballarat community to contribute to the Good Friday Appeal just by attending, and hopefully a way to boost Ballarat’s tally for the appeal.”
The Ballarat Good Friday Appeal Variety Concert is at Brown Hill Hall, Humffray Street between 11am-4pm, April 14. Tickets $20, to book call 5334 6707.
