Ballarat trainer Dan O’Sullivan sends the now 10-year-old around for the first time since June 2015 in the $30,000 Porter Plant Cup Series Benchmark70 Handicap, 1400m.
He made his last appearance when he failed to finish the Dreschler Hurdle at Bendigo.
Beer Garden has won four of 13 hurdle starts and will have John Allen in the saddle.
O’Sullivan has two runners in the race, including joint top weight Elite Tiger.
Apprentice jockey Lucinda Doodt will claim 3kg to drop Elite Tiger’s weight burden to 57kg.
Ballarat Turf Club will have nine races, with the first at 1.20pm.
