Lawyers acting on behalf Lukas Peter Carey, of Bendigo, appeared before Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on Thursday for a committal mention.
Court documents reveal Carey is alleged to have rorted the system of about $130,00 through inappropriate use of documents and services.
Carey’s partner Jasmine Finnigan, who is also facing a string of charges of obtaining financial advantage and a third accused facing fraud charges, Derryn Ladson, had their matter heard.
Carey’s defence said there had been an offer of a plea to some charges, some unresolved issues with some charges and the possibility of fresh charges.
Finnigan’s lawyer made an application for a summary jurisdiction which Magistrate Ron Saines said could not occur until Carey’s situation was resolved.
All matters have been adjourned until May 25.
