After questioning yesterday the weather bureau's strange but somewhat mesmerising commitment to sticking with a high of 15 degrees for what seemed like an inordinate number of days, it appears things have gone awry,
The bureau has snuck in a top of 16 for today, with what appears a good splash of sunshine.
And while they go back to type with a couple of 15-degree days over the weekend, they have thrown another curveball on Monday with another top of 16.
Then, just to prove a point, it's now offering a couple of 14-degree days mid next week.
Crazy days ahead, indeed.
While I am sure we could banter all day on this theme, I am afraid to say the week has come to an end, and so have our daily weather wraps.
While we will continue to cover all manner of unusual Melbourne weather events as they occur, this is our final daily report. We'll continue to post weather updates and graphics like those featured on this page in our daily Melbourne Express blog.
We thank our readers for all the great feedback and suggestions they offered. And to the weather bureau - we are watching.

Tune for the day
Start the day with a song in your heart, as issued by our senior forecaster at The Bureau of Musicology. We've received many song requests from readers and this one is among the most popular, including a message from Mandy yesterday. It's a great tune to finish on.
