The Queen's actual birthday may be on April 21 but in Victoria we choose to mark it with a grand day off every second Monday in June.
The long weekend also marks the beginning of the ski season - even more reason to celebrate.
Here's a list of what's open, what's not, how to get around, where to go in case of an emergency and what to do on this right royal long weekend.
What's On
Footy: Collingwood take on Melbourne at the MCG. Before the game the Big Freeze 3 will be held, during which celebrities are dunked in freezing water to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease.
Wine & Wildlife: Healesville Sanctuary is hosting a gourmet weekend with local wine and food fom the Yarra Valley. From 11am to 4pm each day, visitors can enjoy wine, craft beer and hearty winter fare as well as the company of the gorgeous inhabitants.
National Celtic Festival: About 15,000 are expected to visit the Bellarine Peninsula for the festival in Portarlington. There'll be dancing, singing and fun for the kids. You can find about it more here.
Public Transport
Metro trains: Services on all lines will run to a Saturday timetable (with no Night Train services).
Yarra Trams: Trams will operate to a Saturday frequency, with last tram approximately one hour earlier than usual. Route 30 and Night Network will not operate.
V/Line: Trains and coaches will operate to a Saturday timetable. Extra services will operate for Monday's MCG match. Trains on the Seymour and Shepparton line will be replaced by coaches due to track.
