Painting simple rocks with bright colours, patterns and inspiration, Kids Who Care members hope to inspire others to share random acts of kindness with strangers.
Member Georgia Marshall, 12, spent Saturday painting rocks and handing them out at Lake Wendouree.
“We wanted to make a difference in our community by spreading random acts of kindness,” Georgia said.
“We ask people to take one if they want, they can then hand it over to other people and share the message.”
Eliza Humphrey, 12, said the simple action, combined with the group’s kindness meter – which encourages people to donate anything from 5 cents which is then be distributed to charities – showed that you didn’t have to spend a lot to dig deep.
“Everyone can do something that can help the community, you don’t have to have money, as long as the act comes from the heart – that's what counts,” Eliza said.
