Burton was injured in a contest against Darley in the opening round of the Ballarat Football League at Darley on Sunday.
Cobras coach Travis Hodgson said an examination had given Burton the all clear.
Hodgson said Burton was a chance to line up against Sunday in a grand final rematch at Maddingley Park on Saturday, when the Cobras will unfurl their first BFL premiership flag.
He said the club had been confident Burton had avoided major damage when its medical staff allowed him to play out the game.
Captain Tyson Shea is unavailable for the round two fixture, while fellow premiership players Lachlan Phyland (hand) and Simon LaFranchi (hamstring) remain on the sidelines.
The Cobras will be keen to bounce back from a defeat at the hands of Darley.
