The national women’s volunteer organisation, which supports children’s charity The Smith Family, celebrated 11 years for the Ballarat Day group in a special luncheon on Thursday.
VIEW zone councillor Maria Culka said Ballarat women were proud to be helping promote the learning for life program.
“(It) helps school children from extremely disadvantaged families be the best they can be,” Ms Culka said. “There are no limits placed on them.”
VIEW, which stands for Voice, Interests and Education of Women, has almost 16,000 members nationwide. Details: view.org.au
