The Crows made it four-straight wins to open the 2017 Central Highlands Football League season with a hard-fought 38-point victory against the Bombers.
Beaufort, which has already beaten Daylesford, Bungaree and Gordon this season, edged clear after a tight opening half to secure the result in front of home fans.
Onballer Rupert Sangster gave life to the Crows and was named one of its best, while Lee Marshall and Jarrod Trigg led a defensive division that conceded just 36 points for the afternoon.
Liam Rigby was a presence in the ruck and around the ground for the Bombers, which were also well served by Alex Bomitali – for his minding job on Jack Duke – onballer/forward Dan Pelchen and coach Jarrod Morgan.
An early shoulder injury to Buninyong midfielder Sam Turner was further salt into the wounds for the Bombers, which have a win-loss ratio of 2-2 from the opening four rounds.
The Crows, meanwhile, are second on the ladder heading into a game against Ballan next weekend.
In the other fixtures on Saturday, Hepburn produced a form reversal to beat Gordon by two points, Daylesford defeated Rokewood-Corindhap, Newlyn thumped Skipton, Springbank had no trouble against Clunes, Ballan opened its account with a big win over Dunnstown and Waubra got home against Bungaree.
Creswick and Learmonth are playing under lights on Saturday night.
