Highlanders coach Clive Raak was on hand to watch Robertson’s dominant display at centre half forward in the Roos’ big win over Gordon on Saturday.
And following his “first class” game, Raak has wasted no time adding him to the mix.
Raak is still working through the selection process before settling on the team that will take on the Southern league in Saturday’s AFL Victoria Community Championships fixture at Lyndhurst.
He said Robertson, a former North Ballarat Rebels player, provided a tall option at either end of the ground and could also be used in the ruck.
Hepburn onballer Kamen Ogilvie has also been added to the CHFL squad following the weekend’s round of matches.
Ogilvie was recruited to the Burras during the off-season and has enjoyed a strong start to the campaign.
Injury has seen a number of players ruled out of the CHFL squad, including Gordon pair Chris McGuigan (hand) and Mick Nolan (shoulder), Bungaree forward Luke Mirtschin (hand) and Dunnstown onballer Sam Jenkins (ankle).
Raak said he is down to a list of 28 players, which he will trim to a final team of 23 before Thursday’s training session at Bungaree.
