Ladder leader Point Cook defeated the Vikings 4-1 in the corresponding match last year. Sebastopol has announced itself as not just a middle-rung side now following impressive performances against quality opposition. However, coach Corey Smith is still asking for more from his group.
“We stay in touch (with the top sides), but I think we can go one more step...it’s acceptable, but not amazing.
“I want to win every game we play, so I’m not ecstatic with a draw, but I think it was a fair result.”
Point Cook scored in the first half-hour before the Vikings responded in the 70th minute.
