Ballarat Eureka Strikers is expecting a tough encounter with South Yarra in its Football Federation Victoria women’s state league one north-west clash on Sunday.
South Yarra currently sits on top of the ladder as one of two undefeated teams after three rounds. Having finished second last season, Eureka Strikers, who have mustered a draw and two losses this season, have every right to be wary of the dangerous Yarra.
Ballarat Eureka Strikers coach Laura Brady said Georgia Morgan would return to the line-up and provide great “organisational experience” to the side’s defence.
While the side has taken a focus to improving its level of communication and the intensity in the game to better respond to situations within matches.
