After stepping aside from racing last year to focus on the publishing of Auto Action magazine, Williams is returning in a Holden Torana SLR5000.
Williams is looking ahead to being back behind the wheel after a year away.
"Since the debut of my TCM SLR5000 last year at the Winton supercar round I have stepped back from racing and I have been focusing on the successful relaunch of Australia's oldest and much loved motorsport magazine,” he said.
“With the magazine back and a huge success, I decided it was time to get the Torana back onto the track.
“Les Small and I have continued to develop the SLR over the past 12 months and I have been working on putting a program together to run the rest of the 2017 Touring Car Masters series from this weekend’s Winton round onwards," Williams said.
"We have been away from the track for a while so I'm looking forward to getting back and being competitive among some really great drivers including old mates John Bowe, Adam Bressington and Steve Johnson.
“I’m ready to race and I'm looking forward to it,” he said.
Williams is making his return to the with the support of ACDelco, wich deals in automotive replacement parts.
"ACDelco have supported my racing over many years - way back in the early days of HQ Holdens, AUSCAR, Formula Holden and our Supercar Commodore.”
