Davies has signed with the Bannockburn Bulls in the Geelong competition, where he will serve as playing coach in 2017-18.
The all-rounder, who won the BCA’s top individual award while playing with Napoleons-Sebastopol in 2011-12, leaves Brown Hill after a successful stint that included a premiership.
Davies made more than 300 runs and averaged close to 40 with the bat in his most recent A-grade campaign with Brown Hill, where he also claimed 11 wickets and took out the senior best and fairest award.
His first year with the club in 2014-15 resulted in a premiership, with the following season ending with a grand final defeat at the hands of Golden Point.
The Bulls failed to make the finals in 2016-17 in what was the third and final year of Davies’ coaching agreement.
Meanwhile, Brown Hill president Phil Knowles has confirmed English import Joe Crichard won’t return to play for the club next season.
Crichard, a top-order batsman, joined Brown Hill on a scholarship for the most recent campaign and made a total of 237 runs in first grade competition at an average of 26.3.
The Englishman also played for the BCA at Melbourne Country Week.
