Now Batten has a fire in his heart and a guitar in hand.
Batten went on to win Kingston Arts’ Curtain Call showcase, headlining the Chandelier Room – a show he released as a demo EP.
His album Search for Answers, released last month, sees him team up with drummer Shane McMahon and all-rounders Sean Ahrbeck on the bass and key board player Steven Reinhardt.
The first single, Homemade Wine, is a blues-rock anthem for people who struggle to find loyal friends.
Search for Answers was co-produced by MusicOz award winner Mike Elrington and Sean O’Sullivan,
Batten will perform at Babushka Bar on Humffray Street on Saturday, June 3.
