The merger of a Ballarat nursing provider with a national wellbeing specialist will bring more services to the region, its chief executive officer says.

Ballarat District Nursing and Healthcare Group, which has a 105 year history in Ballarat, will merge with integratedliving Australia effective from Thursday this week.
integratedliving specialises in rural and remote care, including telehealth and home care packages, which will now be available to BDNHG clients, CEO Catherine Daley said.
Ms Daley said all BDNHG services would continue as before and all existing staff will remain under the merger.
“BDNHG is very clinically focused and has a very long history of providing nursing services. Because we’re a rural, regional and remote provider we've had to be innovative in how we deliver services to people in those areas.
“It may not be the same as what your city counterpart would have - it may be that it's a telehealth consultation, having a nurse remotely triage your results but monitoring your wellbeing.”
She said she hoped to see Ballarat as a base for services to outlying areas.
“We will be able to immediately offer new services and over time extend those services, especially to the broader communities where the expectation is people have to come into the towns or the cities to get the services.”
A Celebration of Amalgamation will be held at 1818 Sturt Street, Alfredton on Thursday, June 1 at 2pm.
The event is open to the public.
