The Vikings started the season with two wins, a draw and a loss, but have since won four on the trot to claim top spot on the ladder. 

Coming up against the bottom two teams on the ladder in the last two weeks, the Vikings backed up an impressive 10 goal win over Creswick, with an 8-1 outing against Bacchus Marsh.

The top five is hotly contested with Sebastopol’s 19 points equal to Warrnambool Rangers. 

Buninyong follows with 18, while Forest Rangers and Ballarat North United both have 16. 

Meanwhile, the Vikings also dominated in division one women’s competition defeating Bacchus Marsh 19 goals to nil.

The Vikings boasted five different goal scorers with Daniel Weinreich contributing an impressive nine points.
