Club president Adam Sutherland announced the reappointment of Hodgson on Friday night.
Hodgson led the Cobras to their first Ballarat Football League premiership in 2016 in the first season of a two-year contract.
“Travis has brought a lot of experience and a high level of coaching to the club and we’re delighted to have him on board for another two years,” Sutherland said.
Hodgson lives in Sunbury and succeeded Cam Richardson at the helm at Bacchus Marsh.
His achievement in his first year at Bacchus Marsh led to him being recognised as the AFL Victoria community senior coach of the year – an award named in honour of three-time North Ballarat Roosters premiership coach Gerard FitzGerald.
