The annual rock ‘n’ rock dance festival is coming up again in July. It will be held over three action-packed days.
This is the sixth annual event. Wimmera Rockers’ John Finn said participants could expect an exciting line-up of local and national talent.
“The Lincolns are one of the best rock ‘n’ roll bands around and the fabulous Fender Benders will be performing,” he said. “That’s always very popular.”
The dance event is returning to its traditional home at the Horsham Town Hall this year.
Doors open on Friday, July 14, with bands on hand to rock the night away.
There will be a special demonstration of rock ‘n’ roll dancing at the Horsham Plaza on Saturday, July 15, with any rockers invited to attend and participate. For Saturday night people are invited to dress up with the theme Hippies. Bring along some drinks and nibbles, and dance to the bands. There will be prizes on offer for the best dressed woman, man, couple and table.
All rockers are welcome to a free afternoon of barbecue and music at the Haven Hall on Sunday, July 16. John invites people to come along and enjoy a weekend full of music and dancing. “It’s a great time,” he said.
