The Strikers will travel to Melbourne University Oval on Saturday still looking for their first win, with their best result so far this season a draw against Lara United in the opening round.
The match also has a historic element, celebrating the 70th anniversary of Melbourne University Soccer Club and marking the first time a women’s game is played on the main oval.
A victory could lift the Strikers off the bottom of the ladder if Preston Lions lose their match against Eltham Redbacks. Kate Lyons will miss due to unavailability with Kaitlyn Waldie to come in as goalkeeper.
