Soccer: Strikers struggle to fire against Eltham

Eltham Redbacks defeated Ballarat Eureka Strikers 6-1 on home turf in Football Federation Victoria’s women’s state league one north west competition on Sunday. 

Natalie Barbara scored the Strikers’ sole goal from outside the 18-yard box in the 39th minute, while the midfielders’ performance improved in the second half.

Sophie Emota played well after stepping up from reserves, having some opportunities towards goals.
