At just 14 the Ballarat Ballet Centre dancer has won a prestigious Cecchetti scholarship, one of only five offered in Australia, to compete later this month in the Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competition in Florence against dancers from Canada, the US, South Africa, the UK and Italy.
An intense week of dance workshops and performances, will all be judged as part of the competition.
The Loreto College year eight student is poised for a big future in the ballet world. Already dancing with the Australian Ballet School, she had to turn down an invitation to the Royal Ballet summer school in London because the dates clashed with the Italian competition.
