ACU Sovereigns is always striving for victory across all grades, but Wednesday offers a genuine chance to do so.
Waves is a rung above Sovereigns on the championship and 19/under ladder while fourth-placed division one will play the bottom-placed Waves.
Championship assistant and division one coach Kim Bailey said the championship team would need to tighten on up its defensive systems while its defenders will be handed a difficult task with Melbourne Vixens shooter Mwai Kumwenda currently playing for Waves.
Bailey said experienced defender Demelza Fellowes would likely get the job on the talented attacker while young gun Rene Caris returns to the side as the only change to the line-up.
Bailey said the division one side would be looking to create some “breathing space” in the top four.
While she said there had been some “really good signs” in the 19/under’s development.
