Ballarat is still in recovery mode after freezing through a bone-rattling night where the temperature was below zero all night.

The temperature hovered between around -2 and -3 for much of the night, dropping to a low of -2.8 and 4am.

However, the ‘feels like’ temperature reached far icier depths than that.

At 5.30am, the apparent temperature sat at a ridiculous -6.8 and even at 8am, it still felt like -5.7 as much of Ballarat made their way to work.

The good news – it’s actually going to be a rather pleasant day.

It will still be a brisk 10 degrees today, but it is forecast to be relatively sunny.
